New Campaign Launched
A new campaign has been launched to oppose and stop the construction of a new £15million animal testing laboratory at Leicester University on Lancaster Road, Leicester.
MAP
The new 4,000 square-meter facility is set to be run by the Department of Biological Sciences and will use beagle dogs and rodents in cruel, pointless and un-scientific experiments.
At the current time, 101 animals are killed every day inside laboratories operated by the University of Leicester (over 36,773 every year), and more inside the laboratories operated by the Medical Research Council on the university campus. There is no need to expand into a new laboratory in a day and age when in-vitro based research research is rapidly replacing its animal counterpart.
The National Anti-Vivisection Alliance has been formed so as to unite all current campaigns against universities and lawfully oppose the new animal testing lab being constructed at Leicester. If you are interested in joing the campaign, get in touch, or join the email action alerts.
