SPEAK supporters were out in force around the Eros statue in London Piccadilly convincing people that Oxford is a tourist destination that should be avoided whilst it remains a city of animal abuse. There were genuine expressions of horror on peoples’ faces as they learnt the truth of what happens to animals imprisoned inside Oxford University – they are brutalised, tormented and exploited before being killed once they are longer deemed useful.
The sound of the megaphone echoed throughout this busy part of the UK’s capital city as Oxford University’s shame was revealed for all to hear. Chants of ‘Boycott Oxford, animal abusers’ were heard loud and clear as information was handed out to the many who were interested in finding out more details.
Then it was onto the second destination, the British Tourism Centre, to again let people know how they can help in the fight against animal torture.
The demo was well attended and well received and shows, once again, how animal abuse parading as science is not supported or wanted.
Join us for the next London tourism demo on Saturday 4 July, details to be announced on the website soon.
