Public Engagement – Tuesday 5 Jan

Members of Oxford Animal Protection took to the streets this afternoon to engage with the public, answer questions and collect signatures against Oxford University’s new animal torture lab. The response from both locals and visitors was very encouraging, with pages of signatures collected.

Even those who didn’t sign the petition but who wanted to find out more about both the moral and scientific issues that surround vivisection gave positive feedback saying that it was great to be able to discuss the issues face to face, and to discover that those who are against animal abuse are not the terrorists we are made out to be by the Government, police and media.

The more we engage with the public the more positive feedback we get, which is why Oxford Animal Protection and SPEAK supporters will continue to be out on the streets again and again now and in the future.
