Information Stall – Saturday 26 JanuarySPEAK not only holds information stalls in and around the Oxford area but also travels to many events held all over the country to let people know the full extent of the hideous and cruel experiments carried out on animals by Oxford University. On Saturday SPEAK held a stall at the North West Vegan Festival where large numbers of the public approached the stall to find out more. People were visibly moved when they watched the SPEAK DVD and discovered who Felix was and what this institution did do him before they killed him. Large numbers of leaflets were given out to all those who wanted to find out what they could do to stop Felix’s fate befalling any other living, breathing and feeling animals. SPEAK has always had great support from those living in the North West of the country, which seems bound to continue as many of those at the festival said they will definitely be coming to the next SPEAK national demo to mark World Day For Lab Animals on 19 April. SPEAK will continue to travel far and wide to inform people about what goes on behind the closed doors of Oxford University, because as more people find out about the brutal way this university operates, the numbers opposed to it and wanting to fight against it increases. |
