If it’s good enough for you.....Demo report 27th September
Despite this we were told that no arrests could be made because the workers were wearing balaclavas and could not be identified. With this in mind SPEAK supporters decided to turn the tables and see how these masked “heroes” would take to receiving information imparted from masked and lawful protesters. As the masked workers emerged from the site the campaigners donned masks of their own, a situation which seem to cause extremely agitated and excited action from the gaggle of police officers and professional witnesses ever ready with their array of cameras and camcorders. This stand off made for a surreal scene but the point of the exercise we hope was not lost on those who are supposed to uphold the law IMPARTIALLY. SPEAK have always been prepared to take on those who would bend or even break the laws that they purport to uphold. Felix and all the other victims of Oxford University are victims of both bad law and self interest. For the sake of all victims of animal abuse it is sometimes necessary and correct to challenge those who would seek to abuse their positions in order that the suffering and killing of sentient beings like Felix are not allowed to be quietly swept under the proverbial carpet by academic and scientific fraudsters. |
