[FELIX, OXFORD UNIVERSITY] [WEIZMAN INSTITUTE, ISRAEL] [CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY]
Felix
Felix, a macaque monkey, was trained to do certain tasks by Oxford University researchers by being deprived of food and water. He then had the top of his head sliced off and electrodes inserted into his brain before being killed.
Felix suffered these debilitating and painful procedures in the name of Parkinson's disease research. However macaque monkeys don't get Parkinson's disease. The best vivisectors can do is brain damage them and give them similar symptons - a far cry from the disease in people.
Weizmann Institute, Israel
The following photos come from an undercover investigation carried out by 'Let the Animals Live' in Israel. The similarities between the horrific experiments carried out at the Weizmann Institute and those carried out by Oxford University are obvious, involving what seems to be identical painful experimental techniques and procedures. However, this is not suprising when the links between this institute in Israel and the University in Oxford are revealed.
It was the Chief of the Veterinary Services of Oxford University who confirmed the conditions of the monkeys in the laboratory, provided advice on housing and on the thirst regimen for the primates at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
Cambridge
The following harrowing images were taken inside the animal laboratories at Cambridge University.
They serve as a shocking reminder of the sort of abuse that will take place at Oxford now the new lab is finished, as some of the experiments that would have taken place at Cambridge are now due to be undertaken at Oxford.

The SPEAK Video
This film is a narrative biography of the SPEAK Campaign as it enters its 4thyear of endevours to end animal suffering at Oxford. It will also introduce you to a bright, sentient individual incarcerated by Oxford: Felix. Felix was killed during the making of this film unbeknown to SPEAK. However, Felix was only the beginning of what is to be a 5 year exercise in suffering for others like him at the hands of Oxford vivisectors. The Fight Continues......

Cambridge University
Here you can gain an insight into the shocking suffering due to take place inside the Oxford University lab. The footage was taken inside existing animal labs at Cambridge University by the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV) and should act as a call to action for all who are concerned about animals.
