Scene of the crash on South Parks RoadSPEAK Campaign supporters met opposite Oxford's new animal abuse lab to campaign against the University's barbaric treatment of the sentient beings who will be tortured and killed inside it, as they have done every week for the past four and a half years. Demo Report – Tuesday 29 July

SPEAK supporters spenat the afternoon on the streets of Oxford bringing the cruelty afflicted on animals by Oxford University to the attention of the huge numbers of people in the city centre. There was such a fantastic response from all those passing by that those collecting signatures for the petition against animal experiments at the university were constantly on the go, talking and interacting with the vast numbers who want to see an end to this animal abuse. Degree Demo Report – Saturday 19 July

Oxford University showed themselves up today in their continuing attempts to stifle free speech and to censure what their members see and hear. Whilst SPEAK supporters stood outside the degree ceremonies that were being held and handed out literature to those entering the college, Oxford University staff were taking the leaflets off people when they entered the hall, saying "we don’t think you need that". Site Demo Report – Thursday 17 July

About 25 SPEAK supporters gathered for the regular Thursday demo outside Oxford University’s new animal torture lab today. During the demo a bio-statistician who has worked in the area of Parkinson’s disease research stopped to say that in her experience, the methods used by Oxford University of inflicting brain damage on monkeys is not relevant to finding cures for human patients.
